Summer Steals...I mean Deals

I came across this on another blog and thought I would share it incase there is an AMC theater close to you.

Click this link.

On Wednesdays throughout the summer they are doing $1.00 movies for the 10:00am showing of older movies. For $1.00 + $50.00 in gas for me it still may be a deal!

It's official

We are expecting number six...well that was official a little bit ago. But we have an official due date. And the date is January 3rd! Jeremy planned a January baby, and his prayers (at least half) are answered, the other half will have to wait until about August to find out. Of course we will be thrilled with a girl but having a boy is kind of the unanimous hope! I am not sure Logan will acknowledge the girl option. Well here is the first picture of the newest Jacob's Clan.
Our little tyke measured at 8 weeks 4 days, so hopefully that means only two more weeks of feeling like junk and whining about everything. Oh the joys of pregnancy and the unbecoming behavior you get to get away with. Here's to a good 7 more months eh?

Ahh the proof!!!

Here's the story...Jeremy is pretty good if not excellent at anything he tries. One example is Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. He is pretty amazing. This was a first for a really long time that Jeremy and I were actually able to ride this together. That made it fun in itself. On the way in Jeremy said I'll tell you what if you beat me I will take you to Ruth's Chris for dinner and a movie. I edited a chick flick just to add insult to injury, also neither of us thought I could actually win. This was the result. Notice he ranked 49...I'm not sure if that is for the day or all time, either way impressive. Please note this is also unusually high, it was both our highest scores ever.
So the next day we rode again and I asked if the same challenge was good this time, confidently he said yes. I really just like the thought of a challenge, I had no confidence that I could beat this space ranger!

Do you see that I WON! still nothing compared to his 478,500, but still, not only did I beat him but by over 100,000 points! Wa-hoo. I know he doesn't really look like he's trying and I think it was his lowest scroe ever. If I didn't know how competitive Jeremy is I would have though he just wanted a yummy steak dinner.

So day three he humbly asked if he could at least go out a champ so we rode again. Of course he won but it was by a close margin so I left feeling good and he got his dignity back.

It doesn't matter he won two out of three I won a super fabulous steak dinner at Ruth's Chris. Now the challenge will be to find a good chick flick during the summer of great action movies! Suggestions welcome.

NOTE: By looking at the last picture I would say the rankings are for the day.

Happy Birthday to You!

It was one year ago that I was introduced to this healthy 10lb 5 oz little girl!
Now she has grown into this:
And this is what happens when she doesn't get her way:
But this is what life is mostly like:

She is now around 17lbs. She is still pretty tall for her age, so maybe we have the beginning of a super-model-esque adorable little girl. She makes me smile and so proud to be a mom. Who knew one little heart could hold so much love for 5 children!
Thank you to Mandy who captured my cutie in true form...always sucking her thumb with a little bit of tears thrown in to make herself known. Hey she's a girl and has her own opinions too!

Grew into this (May 08):

I just wish her crying face wasn't adorable...am I a mean parent?

Happy Mother's Day

I feel a little weird posting this after everyone bragged about how well they were treated, but I can not let it go with out telling how my Mother's Day went. It started out about a month ago when Jeremy got me a 19" flat screen monitor. It is beautiful! Then he got me two movies, PS I Love You and 27 Dresses. When I was away last weekend he bought me two shirts. Then this weekend he bought me two books. The Host by Stephanie Meyer and The Bourne Betrayal. I was very spoiled. Typing this I noticed a pattern 2-2-2. Kind of scary considering my current condition...SURPRISE! Jeremy and I are expecting a little one sometime in January. Of course everyone brings up the twin factor and it is scary. The chances are slim so we are not really worried. So like I have written before this will be the cherry on top of our perfect family Sundae! Needless to say I actually wasn't feeling too well on Mother's Day but I was given the time to rest while Jeremy cooked a dinner of my choice. He is amazing and I am so lucky to raise children with him. He makes my "job" so easy. I love you Jer!

Funnies at FIVE!

This morning I was getting H & H their breakfast. I asked Logan what he wanted to eat. He said I am fasting. Not sure that is what he meant I asked again and he said I am fasting breakfast. (Meanwhile he continued to play Zelda.) I then asked if he started his fast with a prayer. He said "No, Cheese." Then a couple hours later he said "Mom I want breakfast." I reminded him he was fasting, and that he should wait until lunch. So he said "Then I will need two sandwiches." I would never ask him to fast at his age but it is funny that he thought of it by himself.

As I was taking my daily turn on Zelda I noticed Logan getting excited. Whenever I accomplish something like get a new weapon, beat a bad guy or succeed at walking a scary thin path, he gets a little giddy and gives me a kiss and tells me how good I am. If I am in the process of accomplishing a task that is "scary" like a fine path where I can fall or fighting a bad guy, he says I am going to my room until you are done. It is a very obvious love hate relationship!

Lastly, this is not Logan but either H or H, being a mom of twins has it's downfalls! I pulled up to the gas station to go for broke and fill 'er up. H asked what I was doing and I said I was getting gas...can you imagine where this is going...she said gas from your bottom? I never thought I was that obvious, but I guess the girls figured out young that everyone has it!

Now seriously I should act like a grown-up and get some stuff accomplished that doesn't involve me sitting down! On second thought it may scare the kids so I should just read!

Happy Cinco De Mayo

We originally were going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some homemade Lumpia (not by my white-self of course). Then Jeremy with the help of a co-worker (Thanks Nicky) decided that we should have some gen-u-ine authentic Mexican food:
Yes if you can tell the kids are eating Taco Bell! That's right good ol' fashion high class Mexican food! Jeremy and I had a little more authentic Mexican food by getting Burritos and Nachos at Cotija Market. When he went to pick them up he said have a good Cinco de Mayo. The lady responded "I am from Peru...but my husband is from Mexico!" I am not sure why I think that is so funny but it is!

Interesting...

There is a park in Concord called Baldwin Park, it is a great park with lots of grass, the down side is it's scary! Not too family friendly, there are lots of homeless that hang out here, but they are trying to clean it up...Baldwin. Just thought you might be interested.
