Wanted: Potty Trainer

Potty training is the hardest thing as a parent of young kids. I loathe it! I am not good at it. Please remind me that most kids do not enter school in pull-ups. I wish there there was a magic remedy to it. Then if it's not hard enough potty training one try doing two. Two that are different. This is getting complicated. I keep telling myself once I get passed this it is smooth sailing. OK enough whining the truth is I am not trying too hard or being too consistent (which is my nature...lack of consistency). I just wish you could sit down a two and a half year old and say: "Don't let anything come out below the waist unless you are sitting on a toilet" they would respond in a robotic a-firm and that would be that. Well here is to parenting in la-la land!

April, I just have to tell you that I love reading your blog. You are so funny and I always end up laughing, especially stories like the spider in your purse! Eww! I am right there with you on the potty traning thing. It is a huge headache. I never know just what to do with it. Do you leave them in pull-ups and feel at ease that nothing will get on the floor, or do you keep them in underwear and constantly be on guard, and who has time for that? Especially not you with twins!! Good luck!

Oh I'm right there with ya! C and H are NOT doing very well. They just have NO desire to use the potty. I found a cute video you might check out: has twins in it, although they are b/g. It's called Go Potty Go! by Mazzarella Media. It's at least getting them talking about it!
